Looking for a missing person is as difficult as looking for one fish in the ocean.

KO CHUNG CHING (MICHAEL MIU) used to be a policeman. He quit his job and set up a private investigation company two year ago, right after his son TSUN SING had gone missing. His subordinates include MAN KAI CHIU SUPER (CHAN KWOK PONG), MAN TAI PO (LIU BERNICE JAN) and LAM YAN YAN (YEO VIVIEN).

CHING works and keeps looking for SING. He meets LAI SIU (NG MEI HENG, MELISSA), who is the manager of a group of part-time actors, through work. She learns, by chance, that she was involved in SING's disappearance, so she feels quilty and is keen to kelp finding SING. Surprisingly, she uncovers some clues even though she is clumsy. She finds out that SING's disappearance is connected to CHING's divorced wife and his good friend LAU KWOK WAI (WONG CHI YIN). CHING is shocked by truth, so SIU uses her own story to comfort him.

CHING and SIU become very close. On their wedding day, SIU suddenly goes missing. When she reappears, she is a changed person. CHING has to cope with another loved one mysteriously changing.
