Two bodies are found in a disused well in one of the walled villages in Yuen Long. The male victim is truck driver Ho Cheung Fat (Evergreen Mak) and the female victim is mainlander Ting Ling (Melissa Ng). The police deduce that this is a love murder from the evidence and the reports from Coroner Ha Chi Lap (Joe Ma).

Lap is outstanding in his profession, loves his girlfriend Kong Ho Yee (Nnadia Chan) very much and they are preparing for their wedding.
